G----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

D-p9p5\4h8ht12t16t12p8p4\3~~~~-----------------------------------------------------

A----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

E----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Notes on Example 1:

It's augmented. I do one of those sweeping things with the pick, and then I tap on

with my right index finger and pinky.

Example 2:

E----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

B----------------------------------------------------------------t16-10------------

G-----------------------t14-8---------t16-10-------t18-12--------------------------

D---------t17-11---------------------------------------------------------t14-8-----

A--------------------------------------------t15-9--------t17-11-------------------

E---t14-8--------t16-10--------t18-12----------------------------------------------

continued:

E-----------------

B--t18-12---------

G-----------------

D---------t16-10--

A-----------------

E-----------------

Notes on Example 2:

Nice and easy exercise - until it gets faster! What it is is a chromatic scale with

every other note displaced by an octave and tapped a tritone above with the right hand.

If you don't follow that, just play the tab!

Example 3:

E-----------16----------------------------------------------------------------10---

B-----------------------15---------------------------------------------------------

G--14-14-14-------------------------13-------------------------------12-9-9-9------

D--------------13-13-13-------------------------12-------10------------------------

A--------------------------12-12-12-------------------------11-11-11---------------

E--------------------------------------11-11-11----9-9-9---------------------------

continued: Next Part (x2)

E---------------| |---------------------------|

B-----------12--| |-5-----------------5-------|

G---------------| |----5-----------5-----5----|

D--11-11-11-----| |-------6-----6-------------|

A---------------| |----------7----------------|

E---------------| |---8--8--8--8--8--8--8--8--|

then:

E------------------------------|----------------------------------|------6---2---4--2-

B---4---------3--------2-------|---------------------------7----3-|--5--------------2-

G------4---------3---------2---|---------------6---2---4----------|----2---4---6----0-

D---------5--------4-----------|---5---1---3-------------3----5---|7----------------0-

A------------------------------|-------------2---4---6------------|-----------------0-

E-----7--7--7--6--6--6---5---5-|-1---3---5------------------------|-----------------0-

Notes on Example 3:

Oh dear...let's all look embarrassed and move on together...this took forever to tab,

but I'm sure it's perfect.

The first line intervals are major and minor sevenths, and it goes down in tritones.

The next bit with augmented chords, (the x2 bit, then the next bar), I play with my

pinky while I pick the chord, going down in chromatic tones.

The last lick (last 2 bars) is kinda hard.... I use my pick and right-hand middle finger... kinda difficult, best to figure out how to play it yourself.

The last chord, E6/9, is thrown in to make it more(!) fiddly.

Example 4:

            x2 x3 x1

E---------------------|----------t11-t10---|-13-12-11-10-14-13-12-11-|

D---------------------|--------------------|-------------------------| sequence twice)

Notes on Example 4:

There is no pick used in this example. Tap the low notes with your left hand and high notes with your right. This is very fiddly and complicated, good luck!
